Professional services firm PKF Malta recently represented Malta at the Uglobal Expo 2022 in Vietnam, which was held on 5th and 6th September in Ho Chi Minh City.
The industry-wide gathering brought together international migration agents, project developers, immigration and securities attorneys, as well as various other industry service providers, providing an ideal platform for PKF Malta to promote national residency and investment opportunities in Asia.
A delegation from PKF Malta was led by Legal Associate Samuel Sciberras, who held a successful presentation and participated in a fruitful panel discussion about what Malta has to offer the industry. The company’s business exhibit was also a good platform for networking opportunities and to further strengthen PKF Malta’s relationship with the Asian market.
The two-day conference also boasted a number of educational panels which were moderated by key industry players, providing valuable information on global residency by investment and citizenship by investment programmes.
“Vietnam is also catching up with the digital revolution, especially in the fintech sector, and aims to promulgate various laws and regulations similar to the ones enacted in Malta,” a representative of PKF Malta said.
“We also appreciate that Malta can somewhat emulate the success achieved by Vietnam if it seriously invests in the digital economy. The future promotion of our expertise in Vietnam by Malta Enterprise, Chamber of Commerce, FinanceMalta, and TradeMalta is seriously encouraged to pave the way for dialogue with visiting delegations to expand business exchanges,” they added.
The Uglobal Immigration Expo in Vietnam provided a platform for participants to connect and grow business networks with industry influencers to gain knowledge from interactive educational panels and to showcase their business to global stakeholders.
Following the conference in Vietnam, Dr Sciberras also travelled to Australia to visit the PKF offices in Perth and meet with Matthew van Riessen and Carl Longshaw, who are both partners at the firm. A number of topics were discussed during the visit, including Malta as an investment opportunity and holiday destination alike, as well as its immigration programmes.
PKF Malta offers a range of professional services, including insurance and captives, accountancy, VAT, payroll, work permits, and migration applications for both the Malta Individual Investor Programme and the Malta Residence and Visa Programme, among others. It is a member of PKF International, a network of independent firms of accountant and business advisors with more than 400 offices in over 150 countries.
