The firm was founded by George M. Mangion with the help of the other
partners since 1988. PKF Malta is a fast growing, progressive firm that will

one of the main professional services we offer. Our ultimate audit objective
is to express our formal opinion on the Company's financial statement
as required by law. We are also committed to providing our clients with
a high quality and efficient service that results in positive and constructive
assistance to management. This covers both the primary controls built
into the company's systems to ensure the accuracy of accounting records
and enhancing general management controls.
George Mangion - Head of the Audit Department
George Mangion F.C.C.A., C.P.A.A., M.A. (Financial Services), is the senior partner and the head of the audit department at PKF (Malta). He has over thirty years experience in accounting, taxation, financial and consultancy services. His efforts have seen that PKF has been instrumental in establishing many e-Commerce and international trading companies in Malta and has developed relationships with market leaders in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, USA, Belgium, Italy and Scandinavian countries. George has also lectured and delivered presentations at numerous seminars and conferences worldwide on subjects relating to a wide range of topics including taxation, auditing and captive insurance.
Pierre Etienne Mangion M.B.A. eBusiness
On the 15th July 2004,
, was appointed partner in terms
of the Accountancy Profession Act. Pierre joined PKF Malta in 1993 as
a junior audit clerk. From then on there was no turning back. He was responsible
for planning and evaluating audit programmes for various
public sector
clients in Malta and abroad. He also specialises in local council audits.
Pierre who also holds a Masters Degree from Grenoble University in e-Business,
he has attended overseas residential professional courses in subjects
such as assurance and assessment of audit risks. He is active in a number
of professional circles and regularly delivers talks at seminars and conferences
on ICT subjects. Presently the Firm
also includes a number of professionals and graduates in economics, law
and finance, with the support of a small but specialised administrative
staff.
Donna Bonello - Senior Audit
"I choose PKF because of the firm's value and its commitment towards its clients". Donna joined PKF in 2006, after she has completed a University degree. Donna is in the final stages of obtaining the ACCA qualification. "This has helped me to increase my potential because I was exposed to practical experience early on. The working environment at PKF is conductive towards growth, since partners and managers are always available to guide the staff". Donna attended three day courses in IFRS accountancy methodology in Malta and a ‘cold’ file review session at the Irish Institute of Charted Accountants in Dublin. She also undertook audits of local companies with headquarters in Belgium and Germany.

Stefanie Osswald
Student of Applied Media Science at the Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany Internship of. 4 months. Stefanie is mainly in charge of creating adverts, brochures and web banner for the 2nd Annual Race 4 Italian Market Conf & Expo on the 5th December 2008 and 3rd Annual Comparative Captive Conference in Luxembourg in February 2009. Another of her projects is updating and renewing the PKF website with current information, news and reports and creating databases.
Helena Bichert
Student of International Tax and Business Law, University of Bremen, Germany
Internship of 5 months
Among other things, Helena assists in organising business conferences (3rd Annual Legal Gaming Summit in London, Jan 2009; 3rd Annual Comparative Captive Seminar in Luxembourg, Feb 2009) and Researching developments of the Maltese Legislation, Taxation, Economy etc for Updating the PKF brochure “Doing Business in Malta 2008/2009”. She is also involved with researching legislations in online gambling in European countries, jurisdictions and developments of new markets and drawing up and summarising reports.
Michael Richter

Michael was mainly in charge of researching developments of the Maltese Legislation, Taxation, and Economy for Updating the PKF brochure to Doing Business in Malta 2008/2009. He also researched the newest developments in the areas of gaming and gambling and jurisdictions for reports and conferences.
Katharina Wulff

Katharina was mainly in charge of researching the newest developments in the areas of gaming and gambling. Consequently she was able to assist us in organising the ‘International Gaming Conference & Expo’ held at Fitzpatrick Castle in Dublin. Finally she had the chance to participate in this event and meet all the speakers and delegates she had been in touch before. Since Katharina was familiar with the subjects gaming and gambling, she took the opportunity and wrote three articles which all appeared in the daily newspaper Times of Malta.

Among many other things, Christoph helped us to organize ‘The 2nd Comparative Captive Seminar’ in Dublin, Ireland. In this conjunction he was corresponding with speakers, sponsors, the venue, our web designer and delegates. He also met the regulator Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and the organization Finance Malta with the objective to support the seminar as a unique promotion of Malta. PKF thinks that Malta is as an attractive jurisdiction for Captives. Finally he had the great opportunity to attend this event. One of Christoph’s last projects was the compilation of the website’s index section called ‘Internship/Training’.
Christiane Westendorf

During her internship Christiane was assigned with comparing and writing reports on various jurisdictions and drawing up reports summarizing and interpreting various double tax treaties to which Malta has with other European countries. She was also involved with researching developments of new markets, assisting in organizing business conferences and translating of contracts and other documents.
